School Closing Policy: The Heartland Irish Dancers will follow the local school district when canceling classes. If there are an excessive amount of missed days due to snow or other inclement weather conditions, makeup classes will be offered at the end of the school year.
Missed and Makeup Lessons: If you are going to miss a class and you know in advance, please email HID. You will not receive a refund for a missed class; however you may make up the class with the approval of your instructor. If you miss due to prolonged illness, severe injury or personal emergency your billing will be adjusted accordingly. Written documentation may be required and any change in billing will begin the day HID is notified.
Registration Procedures: All parents/legal guardians and adult students must read and sign a completed Registration Form containing consent and release clause. This must be on file with HID before participation will be granted. A $20 registration fee per dancer is also required once a year (in August)
Payment of Fees: The tuition is due within the first ten days of each month. Any student who is more than 30 days past due may not be allowed to participate in class until the amount is brought up to date. (unless arrangements have been made with the instructor). Tuition should be made payable to Heartland Irish Dancers. A late fee will be assessed of $10 for all payments that arrive after the 10th of the month.
Conduct Expectations: Students and parents will dress and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner while representing Heartland Irish Dancers in any capacity (at class, performances, community engagements, etc.) The use of foul language and disrespect for others will not be tolerated. Any student who fails to meet these standards will be asked to leave HID.
Parental Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to be aware of special dates and schedules of any upcoming events. HID will make every effort to communicate information through handouts at class, parent emails, and e-newsletters. It is the parent's responsibility to regularly check their child's dance bag and their own email to make sure they are up to date on HID events and info.
Care of Students: Heartland Irish Dancers is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Dancers should not be left at the the studio unattended for excessive time before or after their class.
Respect for the Studio Space: The Heartland Irish Dancers are lucky enough to rent or use space from local businesses including In the Light Performing Arts Center, Queen of the Holy Rosary-Wea and the Belton Wellness Center. We ask that you show respect to their instructors, students and families as well as the studio itself. Please, pick up after yourself and be kind to those around you!
