What dancers need in addition to the custom made costume piece.
You may purchase from other vendors than the ones linked below as long as they meet the specifications.
Please note- All black shirts, pants, skirts, etc. should not be faded!

 Pre-Beginner Girl Costume Requirements (to be paired with a ribbon sash for the waist)
Any Plain Black Skirt w/hem must be above the knee

All embroidered skirts, cummerbunds, vests and capes are made by a local seamstress. Orders will be placed once or twice a year depending on demand. Email HID with any questions 

Qualifying for a Solo Costume
A Solo Costume is a costume where the design & colors are chosen by the dancer and approved by the teacher.

Requirements for Competitive Dancers:
A dancer must place in the top three of a Novice Hard Shoe Dance and a Novice Soft Shoe Dance.

 Requirements for Non-Competitive Dancers:
A dancer must learn and master two steps of the slow speed treble jig and the slow speed hornpipe.
